WASHINGTON, June 29 (AP) —A State Department spokes man acknowledged today that four or five additional vessels would be carrying licensed United States military equipment to Pakistan in the next month or two.
The department press officer, Charles W. Bray 3d, said he knew of no plans for Secretary of State William P. Rogers to visit India and Pakistan to get a first‐hand view of the civil strife in East Pakistan.
On the arms, he told news men that the United States would permit shipment of items licensed prior to March 25 but that no new licenses for military sales or for direct commercial sales had been issued since that date, when the East Pakistan strife began. No licenses have been renewed since that date, he added.
