NEW DELHI, June 30 (Reuters)—Sydney H. Schanberg, South Asia correspondent of The New York Times, was expelled from East Pakistan to day.

He said on his arrival here tonight he had been ordered to leave by martial law authorities “in the interests of the security of Pakistan.”

Mr. Schanberg, who is based here, was one of 35 foreign correspondents expelled from East Pakistan in March.
