GENEVA, Oct. 13 — Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan, the United Nations, High Commissioner for Refugees, said today that he and his top aides would make personal calls on government officials in an attempt to inspire a new international effort on behalf of the East Pakistani refugees in India.
He said that unless a new response from the nations of the world was forthcoming within a few months, the refugee situation would again become “extremely dramatic.”
The prince said at a news conference that he was concerned about the “apathy” over the problem of the refugees. He warned that the assistance nations had provided for the United Nations aid pipeline was now “slowly drying up.”
