DACCA, Pakistan, Nov. 7—A right‐wing politician recently named by Pakistani authorities as a member of the future East Pakistan Provincial Assembly was assassinated today, allegedly by guerrillas with submachine guns.
He was identified as Gultanubdin Khan, a member of the Aiyiim faction of the Moslem League, a party that has no political base in East Pakistan, Mukti Bahini guerrillas have reportedly been killing political figures or persons cooperating with West Pakistani authorities every day for several weeks.
Another man, Ahmed Hossain, was reportedly slain with Mr. Khan this morning at Naryanganj, 11 miles from, here. Mr. Hossain was a member of a local “peace committee,” a civil committee appointed by the army to administer communities and towns.
Yesterday, another politician was killed in downtown Dacca, again allegedly by guerrillas, and several others were killed in country areas.
There are fears here that the Mukti Bahini is about to mount an all‐out campaign of assassination and sabotage in East Pakistan that may involve foreigners as well as the occupation army. Several consulates, including that of the United States, have been reviewing emergency plans over the last few days.
