KARACHI, Pakistan, Nov. 16 —The state radio said today that Pakistani troops had foiled five attempts by Indian troops and Pakistani insurgents to infiltrate into Pakistan in the Chittagong, Noakhali, Comilla, Rangpur and Jessore districts of East Pakistan.
The official report said that in one of the clashes, 15 Indians had been killed and about 40 injured. Two Pakistani soldiers were reported killed and six injured. It did not give the number of casualties in the other incidents but said that the intruders had suffered heavy casualties. It also said that Indians fired 2,900 shells at 19 East Pakistani border villages today, killing 15 persons.
