NEW DELHI, Dec. 9 (Reuters) — Indian troops stood at the gates of Dacca tonight. All India radio reported the capture of the river port of Narayanganj, only five miles south of the East Pakistani capital.

The radio said that with the capture of Narayanganj, Chandpur, Daudkandi and Ashuganj, the ring around Dacca was virtually complete.
