NEW DELHI, Dec. 10 —Reports reaching here from the United States consulate in Dacca said today that no one had been killed in the bombing of an orphanage there yesterday.
Foreign diplomats who went to the orphanage today to check on press reports of the bombing found that a bomb had landed close to the orphanage or on its grounds. Several boys at the orphanage had fled in fright, these diplomats said.
Dispatches from Dacca yesterday said that as many as 300 were feared dead.
Some of the boys at the orphanage ran away in fright but all the girls and staff members are accounted for and there are no bodies in the area, consulate officials said.
