HONG KONG, Dec. 12—India was depicted as virtually a vassal state of the Soviet Union in a commentary from Peking received here today through Hsinhua, the Chinese press agency.
Hsinhua said the Soviet Union had supplied India with most of her foreign military aid and with economic aid in an amount smaller only than the aid of “another country,” meaning the United States, and had become India's ally in military aggression.”
Through this military and economic aid, the agency said, the Soviet Union had “infiltrated its influence into various domains of India.”
