RAWALPINDI, Pakistan, Dec. 25 (AP) — The new Pakistani administration appeared today to be creating a climate to make talks by President Zulfikar All Bhutto and Sheik Mujibur Rahman, the East Pakistani leader, acceptable to West Pakistanis.
The Pakistan Times, owned by a Government trust, said in an editorial that talks with Sheik Mujib, who is out of jail and under house arrest, should be held “without any reluctance or fear of public misunderstanding.”
The paper added: “The nation has full confidence in the President and would support any move to establish a political dialogue with the appropriate quarters.”
Mr. Bhutto said yesterday that he was ready to talk with Sheik Mujib but added: “For all I know, he might tell me to go to hell.”
