PEKING. Nov 14. China today reiterated its support to Pakistan on Kashmir and the Ganga waters issue.
In a joint communiqué Issued at the end of Pakistan President Yahya Khan's five-day visit to China, the Chinese leaders stressed their sup¬port for the "right of self-determination" for the people of Kashmir and "appreciated" Pakistan's stand on the distribution of Ganga waters.
While pledging its support for safeguarding Pakistan’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty", China expressed the hope that the Indo-Pakistan problems would be solved in a peaceful way.
The communique recorded that relations between Pakistan and China were based on five principles of mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, non-aggression, non interference in each others internal affairs and peaceful co-existence.
The communique also recalled Gen Yahya Khan's 75-minute meeting with Chairman Mao Tse-tung yesterday during which the Pakistan leader described Mao as "not only a great man of China or Asia but of the World."
It said President Yahya Khan renewed his invitation to Chinese Premier Chou En-lai and the latter indicated he would visit Pakistan"at the earliest possible opportunity"
