Some United Kingdom nationals in East Pakistan, have now been advised by British High Commission representatives in Dacca that they should consider leaving. This applies to those whose presence is not essential, such as mothers with children.
There are about 1,000 United Kingdom nationals in East Pakistan altogether, of whom 400 are in Dacca and 200 in Chittagong.
Mr. F. Sargeant, the Deputy High Commissioner in Dacca, is reporting continuously to London on the situation, and is in touch with the British community. Thom have been no reports of incidents involving injury to Britons.
