Delhi, May 3.—India and Pakistan today engaged in exchanges about violations of air space. Officials at the Defence Ministry in Delhi denied an accusation by Pakistan that two Indian military aircraft yesterday violated its air space in the far north-western sector of East Pakistan.
They declared, however, that two Pakistan fighters violated Indian air space on Saturday in the Cooch Behar district, along the border with East Pakistan.
Official Indian sources also reported that a frontier railway station at Rahikapur, about 210 miles north of Calcutta. was damaged yesterday by artillery fire from East Pakistan. They said there were no casualties, but reported that five East Pakistanis in a refugee camp near by had been killed by shelling the previous day.
Meanwhile, the two countries continued negotiations for the mutual repatriation of diplomatic staff.—U.P.I.
