Background: In Delhi on Sunday (4 April) volunteers for a campaign launched by the newspaper Delhi Citizen held a street demonstration to collect money for victims of the fighting in East Pakistan. The volunteers also collected signatures for a blood donating programme.

The volunteers marched in an orderly manner, shouting slogans and chanting patriotic songs. They carried banners and placards calling for support of East Pakistani victims.
