Background: In New Delhi, about 1,000 people demonstrated outside the offices of the British High Commission and that of the government of Pakistan on Friday (18 June). The demonstrators, primarily members of the All India Students' Congress, carried placards and shouted slogans condemning British Prime Minister Edward Heath's recent offer of continuing aid to the government of Pakistan.
Later, the demonstrators pasted a notice to the main gate of the Pakistan High Commission, condemning the brutality they say has been inflicted on the people of Bangla Desh by the government of Pakistan.
At least 50 more refugees from East Pakistan died of Cholera in the camps near Calcutta on Friday. Health ministers say that of 23,407 known cases of cholera since the beginning of the epidemic in West Bengal, 3,506 people had died.
A Visnews cameraman in New Delhi filmed this report, showing the demonstrators marching against the British and Pakistan High Commission Buildings.
