KARACHI, Pakistan, March —President Yahya conferred today with Zulfikan Ali Bhutto, leader of West Pakistan's dominant Pakistan Peoples party on the crisis in East Pakistan that followed this week's postponement of a constitutional assembly.
General Yahya is expected to announce tomorrow that he will go to Dacca, capital of East Pakistan, to confer with Sheik Mujibur Rahman, whose Awami League controls the Assembly.
A spokesman for Mr. Bhutto's People's party said after today's meeting between Mr. Bhutto and President Yahya in Rawalpindi, the interim capital, that the violence that accompanied the general strike in East Pakistan had plunged the nation into the worst crisis of her history.
